Thank you to all 40 runners that have volunteered to represent Team ARR at this weekend's Bradford Millenium Relay .

Once again, in our 10th year of competing ever so well in this popular event, we have entered 4 teams.

Please ensure you all reach your leg start venues and are ready to run, 30 minutes in advance of the estimated changeover times.

All the race information including event timetable, rules, logistics, etc have been outlined in the ARR document previously circulated by Graham Morris.

Good luck to everyone, I hope you run well, and most importantly stay safe and enjoy the day

Yes, there has been some confusion over which races are included in our Road Points Races. I produced an initial list including the Arley Cheshire Half Marathon & Burnsall 10. Arley Half was to be on the 16th July, they then moved this to the 8th October, which is probably the busiest racing weekend of the entire year (Chester, Kielder & York Marathons to name just 3)!? I’ve since been waiting for official date verification, but I can now confirm that for that weekend we have now included the Elswick Express 10 on the 15th July instead. And as Burnsall 10 now clashes with our Race The Train social event, this has been replaced with the Prudent Riverside 10 on Sun 6th Aug. All other Races & Dates remain the same. We’ll get the listing updated on the relevant website pages ASAP.  smiley

Just a reminder – Wilsons Athletics Track is available to us every Thursday, 5:30pm to 6:30pm. We have a number of runners of all abilities currently using this facility for track sessions. Everyone is welcome! Speedwork doesn’t just make you run faster, it makes you more comfortable at all speeds and increases your fitness. Remember to ‘sign in’ & pay £2 to Hyndburn Athletics in the office next to the changing rooms.

Just a reminder to all our runners regarding the rule on club vests.
When competing in any race or event as an attached member of Accrington Road Runners; it is expected you wear (and display) a club vest.
This is particularly important when representing the club in team events and in our club races.
The club vest helps advertise and promote the club gives us a presence in races.
Club vest are available from Colette
