Accrington road runners was formed in 1985 and presently train at the recently refurbished Wilson playing field facility in Clayton-le-Moors, Accrington.

Welcome to Accrington Road Runners

The purpose of the site is for runners to keep up to date with the latest at Accrington Road Runners. Whether you are a member or not, we welcome your input to our site.

Training night

We meet at 6.20 Wilson's playing field to start running at 6.30 prompt on Tuesday evenings. We have 3 or 4 groups to cater for the different levels of abilities, to ensure that no one is left on their own. Click on the Club profile link to learn more about us.

Directions to Wilson's playing field sports complex

Wilson's playing field is approximately 200 metres up Clayton Hall Drive, which is off the main Whalley road (A680) between Accrington and Great Harwood. Click here to see a map (opens in a new window).

There is also a large car park at the sports complex.

Membership

To join, membership is £15, which includes membership of England Athletics and many subsidised events organised throughout the year.

If you are a member, please feel free to offer your input to your web site. Keeping the site current relies on your input. If you have photographs, race write ups or want to see your social events represented on the site, please either login and enter the details, email, or approach me with the details (Simon). Any new ideas would be welcome.
